Support the ESFS Charity - Water Aid

Only 2 days until the End of Summer Fashion Show at Left Bank Leeds.

The show is supporting WaterAid, an international non governmental organisation. Their mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.  They also work to influence policy at national and international levels on the provision of safe water.

The purpose of safe, clean water is to reduce poor sanitation and bad hygiene.  Poor water supplies can result in the contamination of water sources with millions of disease causing micro-organisms. These micro-organisms work in different ways to incapacitate infected individuals.

Better water supplies will particularly benefit children and those with HIV or chronic illnesses.  Find out more about Water Aid at http://www.wateraid.org

Tickets are still available and can be purchased for £9 at http://bit.ly/esfstickets and proceeds go towards supporting the Water Aid Charity.

Designer Spotlight: Jamilia Designs
Jamilia maintains a subtle balance between the shape and colour of garments and it is expressed in the harmony of her knitwear. The goal of her attempts is giving people, who wear them, an opportunity to feel unique, cosy, beautiful and exclusive at the same time. As every one of them is individual, each person can find a garment which reflects their inner self, mood and personality.
The collection contains vibrantly coloured and ethically sound British mohair jerseys, eyelash “fun-fur” yarn and recycled sari silk knitwear. The designer does not use either fur or leather.
Jamilia’s striking designer knitwear is for both men and women. Her clothing is liberating, colourful, eccentric and creating ripples in the fashion circles of her adopted city.
Each hand-knitted garment is given a unique name based on the wool colours such as ‘Candy Milk Thunder,’ ‘Peach Olive Fire,’ and ‘Chestnut Gold Cyclone.’ The collection also includes Hand Knitted and Crochet tops from Recycled Sari Silk Fair- Trade Yarn.
All of Jamilia’s designs are warm in winter, comfortable and cool in summer.
